9/11: Is war Holy to Muslims?

Why does the Quran (being a Holy book) speak so much of war? Is war Holy to Muslims?

War could be holy to them, but not all Muslims are extremists like the terrorists like those of 9/11. Muslims emphatically insist that the Jihad, or Holy War, was only a means of defence and was never used as an offensive attack.

I worry what others think of me
I cry when i dont get my way

I understand others are different too
